Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Thursday paid a solidarity visit to former appointees of former President Goodluck Jonathan's administration. The duo of Femi Fani- Kayode, Director of Publicity of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Reuben Abatti, Jonathan Media Aviser were detained by the EFCC for allegedly diverting $2.2b.

Ekweremadu’s visit was supposed to be a morale booster as Ekweremadu reportedly told the detained past officials that they were paying same price of leadership paid by past leaders who were detained on different occasions in the leadership quest for the country.
